Fuel prices continued their downward trend in October. There were only relatively small price differences throughout the month.
Fuel prices have been at the low end for the tenth month of the year as well. According to an analysis by the ADAC, the diesel price reached the lowest monthly value of the year with an average of 1.129 euros.
Large price difference during the day
For the liter of Super E10 it was not quite enough to achieve a new record. After all, the second-best result of the year was achieved with 1.310 euros. Only in January was petrol cheaper at an average of 1.262 euros.
According to the evaluation, the cheapest day for filling up with diesel was October 22, when an average of EUR 1.115 was handed in to the gas station attendant for a liter. One day later, the cheapest day for the liter Super E10 was noted, which averaged 1.294 euros. In contrast, October 11th was the most expensive day with an average of 1.146 euros for diesel and 1.327 euros for gasoline.
Throughout the month, the price differences remained in relatively small areas, as the traffic club announced. While the differences between the individual days remained low, the price differences varied considerably more over the course of the day. Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the fuel is up to nine cents cheaper than between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. (AG)
