If you are still on the road with a yellow inspection sticker on your car, you should make an appointment for the general inspection as soon as possible. Because at the beginning of 2016, the badges with the number 15 will lose their validity for all trailers and vehicles.
15 euros fine after two months
For the coming year, only badges in the colors brown, pink and green are current on license plates. New cars that do not have to go to the general inspection for three years receive an orange copy. Delaying the due skin examination is not worth it. Because if you overrun the appointment by more than two months, you have to reckon with a deeper HU and the associated higher costs. There is also the risk of a warning or a fine.
After two months it is 15 euros, after four months it is 25 euros. Anyone who is eight months late pays 60 euros and also receives a point in Flensburg, according to the Dekra testing organization. In addition, there can be problems with insurance coverage in the event of an accident.
The HU badge is available in six colors that follow one another in a fixed order; every six years the cycle starts all over again. In addition to the colors mentioned, the seal of approval is also available in blue. The fixed color cycle has existed in this form since 1980; previously, however, the badges were also made in a different color every year. (SP-X)
