At the 12th Plus X Award, Opel has been named the most innovative brand in the automotive sector for the fourth time in a row. Models and technologies from the Rüsselsheim company were also awarded.
At the 12th Plus X Award, Opel won the title of “Most Innovation Brand” for the fourth time in a row since 2012. In the vote, which will be broadcast on July 11th by the television channel Anixe, the Rüsselsheim-based company was able to win a total of 34 quality seals in six different categories - from high quality and innovation to functionality and ecology, as the manufacturer announced. “We are very proud of these awards. They impressively show that we offer our customers top products and pioneering innovations,”said Andreas Marx, Director Marketing Opel Germany, at the award ceremony in the building of the First German Bundestag in Bonn.
Opel Karl, Vivaro and Zafira Tourer also received awards
In addition to the title of the most innovative brand, Vivaro was voted “Commercial Vehicle of the Year”, the Zafira Tourer “Van of the Year” and Karl “Small Car of the Year 2015/2016”. “Of course, we are particularly pleased that the international jury voted our brand new Opel Karl as Small Car of the Year. It marks the new entry into the Opel world and shows perfectly what we mean by the democratization of technology. He has numerous assistance systems of higher vehicle classes - and affordable for everyone at a low price,”continues Marx.
In addition to the models, the techniques were also awarded. Thanks to the new diesel engine - affectionately known as the whisper diesel at Opel - the mocha became, Corsa, Insignia and Zafira Tourer rated as particularly environmentally friendly. (AG)
