The Opel Astra is a successful model for the car manufacturer. Since the market launch of the current generation in 2015, around 400,000 vehicles of the compact class model have been sold across Europe. Buyers of the Astra can look forward to a high level of value retention, as the experts from Bähr and Fäss found after a message from the manufacturer.
Money well spent
According to this residual value forecast, the Opel Astra, which was named Europe's Car of the Year in the previous year, has the highest residual value in its class: after three years, the Astra with a mileage of 60,000 kilometers has a depreciation of 41.5 percent. The Astra is even ahead of the second-placed VW Golf (43.5 percent) and the Audi A3 (44.5 percent).
Behind them are the Seat Leon and the Skoda Octavia with 46.5 percent each. “The high residual values prove the outstanding quality of our bestseller.
