Seat is expanding its range of fuel-efficient vehicles. The VW subsidiary will be offering Ecomotive models of the Leon, Altea and Altea XL Kombi from December.
The Spanish car manufacturer Seat is now expanding its range of fuel-saving models. The compact models Leon, Altea and Altea XL Kombi will be available from December 2009 under the name “Ecomotive”. A new 1.6-liter diesel engine with 77 kW / 105 PS works under the bonnet. It is combined with an automatic start-stop system and a braking energy recovery system.
3.8 liters consumption
In the compact Leon, consumption should be limited to 3.8 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, the CO2 emissions are 99 grams per kilometer. The sprint time from 0 to 100 km / h is given as 11.5 seconds, the top speed is 188 km / h.
The Altea models should get by with 4.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, the emission value is 119 g / km. The sprint to 100 km / h takes 12.4 seconds in the Altea or 12.7 seconds in the Altea XL station wagon, and the top speed is reached at 183 km / h. The prices for the three Ecomotive versions, which will premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt (September 17th to 27th), are not yet known. (mid)
