This corresponds to an increase of 4.3 percent. Audi's market share in Germany is 7.6 percent. The Ingolstadt-based company has not been able to achieve that much in the past 26 years.

On the European market (excluding Germany), Audi achieved sales growth of 7.7 percent to 400,650 units (2005: 371,995). The Ingolstadt-based company was able to achieve the highest rate of increase in Spain with an increase of 10.3 percent to 54,557 (2005: 49,453). In terms of exports, the USA is the most important market. 90,116 cars were sold here (2005: 83,066), which corresponds to a growth of 8.5 percent.
