According to an evaluation by ADAC, the price for one liter of Super E 10 climbed to 1,500 euros per liter for the first time since 2014. Compared to the previous week, this is a price increase of 1.7 cents. The drivers of a diesel vehicle are no better off. They had to pay an average of 1.339 euros for a liter of diesel. That is an increase of 1.9 cents.

Crude oil price also increased
The rise in prices at the petrol pumps is not due to the rise in crude oil prices alone. Although crude oil has also recorded a slight price increase, this is less than at the petrol pumps. The price of crude oil of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose to 75.20 US dollars per barrel (159 liters) on Monday. That's $ 1.03 more than on Friday.
The ADAC advises motorists to refuel price-consciously in view of the high fuel price level. That means that you shouldn't go to the gas station in the morning, because then refueling is particularly expensive. According to the automobile club, you should instead drive to refuel between 3 and 5 p.m. and between 7 and 10 p.m. Then the fuel prices are the lowest.
At the same time, it is advisable to compare the prices of independent petrol stations with those of branded petrol stations. You can usually save some money here. In addition, drivers should pay attention to a prudent driving style, it helps to consume less.
