In the past, LPG has always seen particular demand when fuel prices have risen. So this VW Polo Bifuel comes at the right time.
The VW Polo is now also available in a bivalent version with the nickname "BiFuel" known from the Golf. This means that the small car can be refueled and operated with either LPG or petrol. In pure LPG mode, the Polo should emit over eleven percent less CO2 than in petrol mode. The front-wheel drive is powered by the new 60 kW / 82 PS 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which consumes an average of 7.6 liters of LPG per 100 kilometers and emits just 123 grams of CO2 per kilometer. With petrol in the tank, the Polo consumes 6.0 liters of Super, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 139 grams.
Range 680 kilometers
As with the Golf BiFuel and Golf Plus BiFuel models, the 52 liter gas tank is also housed in the spare wheel well in the Polo to save space. A range of around 680 kilometers is possible in LPG mode; in combination with petrol mode, this results in a total range of up to 1,400 kilometers. The starting price is 16,900 euros. (mid)
