In-line engines with three and four cylinders work under the hood of the little Spaniard. Since the third generation of models, the petrol engines that have been offered over the years have produced between 44 kW / 60 PS and 132 kW / 180 PS in the sporty Cupra model. The diesels give at least 47 kW / 64 PS and a maximum of 118 kW / 160 PS. A liquefied petroleum gas version (LPG) available since 2011 has an output of 60 kW / 81 PS.

Anyone interested in this LPG engine should, according to the Schwacke list, plan around 9250 euros for an Ibiza SC 1.6 LPG Reference from 2011 with around 20,000 kilometers on the odometer. The sport model Ibiza SC 1.4 TSI DSG Cupra with 132 kW / 180 PS from 2009 still costs around 12,850 euros (average mileage: 44,000 kilometers). For a diesel of the previous generation such as the 59 kW / 80 PS Ibiza 1.4 TDI DPF Reference from 2007, around 6550 euros (115,600 kilometers) are charged.
