After the takeover of TRW Automotive, the automotive supplier ZF increased its sales significantly in the first half of the year. It rose to around 12.2 billion euros.
The auto supplier ZF has grown significantly after purchasing TRW Automotive. Sales rose to around 12.2 billion euros in the first half of 2015 - US supplier TRW has been involved in this since mid-May with a share of almost 2 billion euros. ZF announced this on Thursday in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance. ZF completed the takeover in May and is currently in the process of integrating TRW into the group as the new "Active and Passive Safety Technology" division.
Result of 711 million euros
The bottom line was a result of 711 million euros after the first six months, after 310 million euros in the previous year. However, the half-year figures are not comparable with the previous year's figures, as they were influenced by the sale of the 50 percent stake in ZF Lenksysteme in January 2015 in addition to the TRW acquisition, said CFO Konstantin Sauer.
Without the turnover from TRW, the proceeds rose by 11 percent to 10.2 billion euros. The reason for this is essentially currency effects. For 2015, the company expects sales of 29 to 30 billion euros. (dpa)
