Ducati distributed 200 hp to just 155 kilograms in the 1199 Superleggera. The bike, limited to 500 units, also has a very high price.
Motorcycle manufacturer Ducati is known for bikes with breathtaking performance. With the latest model, the Italians push the distribution of power to weight to the extreme: The 1199 Superleggera, which translates as "super light", has put aside everything that is superfluous and so more than 200 hp meet 155 kilograms of dry weight.
Around 50,000 euros for the Ducati 1199 Superleggera
Based on the 1199 Panigale R, the Superleggera has a monocoque frame made of magnesium and forged Marchesini wheels made of the same material. In order to drive lightweight construction to the top, the rear frame and trim parts are made of carbon.
If you want the ultimate stripped machine, you have to be lucky: only 500 copies are built. A big bank account doesn't hurt either, as prices are traded around 50,000 euros in the media. The manufacturer does not comment on this. The 1199 Panigale R is in the price list from a good 31,000 euros.
