Nissan increases the range of the Leaf by 25 percent. The electric car can now also recognize whether the next charging stations are free or occupied.
Nissan is offering the Leaf from January next year with an increased range of 250 kilometers. The plus of 25 percent (50 kilometers) is achieved with a new battery that now stores 30 kWh instead of the previous 24 kWh. "The world's best-selling electric car is now getting even better," says Paul Willcox, Chairman of Nissan Europe. "For many European customers who previously lacked a little confidence in the world of electric cars, the 250-kilometer range is now going to be the first choice."
Nissan Leaf from 28,060 euros
In the Acenta equipment line, the Stromer then costs from 28,060 euros plus battery rental. With a battery, the Leaf costs 33,960 euros. The Japanese give a guarantee of eight years or 160,000 kilometers on the battery.
The dimensions of the Leaf, available in the Acenta and Tekna equipment versionshave not changed compared to the version with a 24 kWh battery. The e-vehicle has only become 21 kilograms heavier. The so-called Nissan Connect EV system has also been optimized, with which owners can not only see the current charge level but also preheat the interior. The further developed version now not only shows the available charging stations in the vicinity, but also whether they are free or occupied. In addition, the navigation system and the maintenance instructions were edited.
The current model with the smaller battery is offered by Nissan after a price reduction of 5200 euros for 18,590 euros plus 79 euros battery rental per month. (AG / SP-X)
