Honda will introduce a hybrid sports car at the Tokyo Motor Show. A second study shows how the Japanese imagine the small car of the future.
Honda has announced a compact sports car in the spirit of the CR-X for the Tokyo Motor Show from October 27th to November 11th. The Japanese automaker also wants to present its vision of a small car for the future at the fair.
Close to the production version
The sports car is called CR-Z and is a further development of the "Light Hybrid Sportscar" study that Honda unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It is also powered by a hybrid engine that combines the power of a gasoline engine and an electric unit, Honda announced.
However, the company has not yet given any performance or consumption figures. The car with its large radiator grille, LED headlights and bright interior is still a design study. However, it is said to be much closer to a possible production version.
Study with fuel cells
The Japanese have planned the Puyo small car as a second study for Tokyo. According to the manufacturer, it stands for safe, clean and fun mobility and therefore combines a minimalist design and environmentally friendly drive technology, with a fuel cell at the center. (dpa)
