Revenge isn't just sweet. In the economy version, the Revenge Verde should consume less than 300 liters per 100 kilometers. The only question that remains is who is thinking of saving with a performance of 400 and a price of 138,064 euros.
A sports car for fans of horsepower disappointed by the automakers was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show (until January 24). The flounder made of carbon and aluminum is called Revenge (in German: Rache) and is offered with the most powerful engines from General Motors and Ford. According to a developer, buyers can drive the car from the end of the year with the approximately 471 kW / 640 hp V8 engine from the Corvette ZR1 or with a five-liter eight-cylinder from the Ford Mustang. With a supercharger, this engine should come to around 441 kW / 600 PS.
Three liters per 100 kilometers
As a green alternative, there is a hybrid drive with around 294 kW / 400 PS and cylinder deactivation for the “Verde” model variant. In economy mode, this version should consume less than three liters per 100 kilometers. Depending on the engine variant, the Revenge can sprint from zero to 100 km / h in three to five seconds and always reaches a top speed of at least 280 km / h. The prices for the two-seater, which will also be sold in Europe, are, according to the manufacturer, around 200,000 dollars (around 138,064 euros). (dpa / tmn)
