After the Fiat Group bought Chrysler, the logo will soon be changed. Then the original American brand has to be renamed Lancia.
From American to Italian, such a change of nationality is taking place in the automotive industry. With the purchase of Chrysler by the Fiat group, a logo change is on the program: Chrysler becomes Lancia. As a result, around 20 of 125 sales partners will leave the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealer network. In a few months, the employees at Chrysler's German headquarters in Berlin will move to the Fiat headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.
Logo exchange in June 2011
It is expected that in June 2011 the dealers of the US-American brand in this country will exchange their signs for the emblem of the Italians, which Chrysler has now confirmed. The range of vehicles will change accordingly. From autumn, the new Lancia Ypsilon and the new Lancia Grand Voyager will also be displayed in the showrooms, as will the Lancia 300 C. The Lancia Delta will also continue to be on offer.
For Chrysler drivers, even after the brand change, the service centers provide the usual services relating to warranty, maintenance and repairs. The same applies to Jeep and Dodge drivers. However, no more Dodge new cars will be officially sold in Germany in the future, at least for the time being. (mid)
