Car polishes hardly differ in terms of effect. The price-performance winner requires more force to polish, but the difference in price pays off.
It is precisely when it comes to "effect" that car polishes shine the least. In the end, however, the nine products tested by the GTÜ testing organization and the ACE car club have no weaknesses.
Price-performance winner only three points behind test winner
The "A1 Speed Polish" polish from Dr. Wack cut off. The gloss agent, which costs 17.95 euros, received 157 out of 200 possible points. The worst product in the test, "Show & Shine" from KK Colors, only scored nine points less and costs just as much as Dr. Wack. The "glossy polish" from RS 1000 was chosen as the price-performance winner, which was awarded 154 points by the experts and costs only 5.49 euros.
Even if all of the products barely scored more than 50 percent of the points in terms of effectiveness, the "success" was still visible and measurable. The test winner shines above all with an effortless polishing. The price-performance winner has to invest a lot more energy, but this pays off financially. (mid)
