After just five years, Mazda is launching the second generation of its mid-range SUV CX-5. The premiere will take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The CX-5 can be found in dealerships in May.

The new Mazda CX-5 is longer and flatter than its predecessor. A few weeks before the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of March, the manufacturer already says so much, when the second generation of the mid-range SUV is making its debut in Europe. Nevertheless, it should be more comfortable for the occupants. Mazda offers improved seats and optimized noise insulation.

Improved handling

The G-Vectoring Control (GVC) vehicle dynamics control system has made its way into the series for more driving comfort and improved handling properties. New on board, depending on the equipment, is a head-up display that projects important driving information onto the windshield in the driver's direct field of vision. The new Mazda CX-5 is powered by SKYACTIV-G (gasoline) and SKYACTIV-D (diesel) engines with front-wheel or all-wheel drive and, according to the manufacturer, should come to car dealerships at the end of May 2017.
