With Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, the last two federal states are starting the autumn vacation. Despite the holiday traffic, the ADAC only expects disruptions at the construction sites next weekend.
Holiday traffic will hardly result in traffic jams on German highways on the weekend of October 25th to 27th. While Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg are the last federal states to start the autumn vacation, Hesse and Saxony-Anhalt as well as in the middle and north of the Netherlands are heading home. The second week is on in North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony, Thuringia and Saarland. The ADAC expected despite the tourist traffic jams only on the sites of the following routes:
• A 1 Hamburg - Bremen - Dortmund
• A 2 Berlin - Hannover - Dortmund
• A 3 Frankfurt - Würzburg - Nuremberg - Passau
• A 4 Dresden - Erfurt - Kirchheimer triangle
• A 5 Basel - Karlsruhe - Frankfurt - Kassel
• A 6 Mannheim - Heilbronn - Nuremberg
• A 7 Füssen / Reutte - Würzburg - Hanover - Hamburg
• A 8 Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Munich - Salzburg
• A 9 Munich - Nuremberg - Berlin
• A 61 Ludwigshafen - Koblenz - Mönchengladbach
• A 81 Stuttgart - Singen
• A 93 Inntaldreieck - Kufstein
• A 95 / B 2 Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen
• A 96 Munich - Lindau
• A 99 Munich bypass
According to the traffic club, travelers in neighboring countries are only prevented from driving quickly at construction sites. In Austria, this affects the West, Tauern, Karawanken, Inntal and Brenner autobahns, the Fernpass route, the Arlberg expressway and the important federal roads in Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Salzburger Land.
In Italy there may be delays on the Brenner route, the Pustertal state road and the Reschenpass - Merano connection, in Switzerland on the Basel - Gotthard - Chiasso and St. Gallen - Zurich - Bern routes.
