It is well known that more performance cannot hurt. That is what Renault said to itself and launched the Trophy version of Mégane RS.

In the Trophy version, the performance of the 1.8-liter turbo gasoline engine increases from 280 hp to 300 hp, and the torque increases from 390 to 420 Nm. The top speed of the five-door increases by 5 km / h to 260 km / h, and the sprint to 100 km / h is completed in 5.7 seconds. For power transmission, there is a choice of six-speed manual gearbox and six-speed dual clutch transmission.

In addition, the new top model in the series will have a motorsport chassis with a mechanical differential lock, larger brake discs with red calipers and particularly light 19-inch wheels.

All-wheel steering included

Thanks to the launch control function, the traffic light start should be particularly quick in the automatic variant.

To ensure that the acceleration does not decrease afterwards, the transmission does not have to shift gears sequentially, but can skip individual stages. All-wheel steering is also adopted from the standard model. Externally, among other things, special paintwork in yellow and orange and a red decorative stripe on the front apron differentiate the Trophy version from the normal Renault RS. The price list starts at 38,590 euros, automatic costs just under 2,000 euros. For comparison: the standard RS is currently available for 30,417 euros. (SP-X)
