Jaguar celebrated the world premiere of the I-Pace in Graz. It is the first fully electric vehicle from the British premium manufacturer - and it is now in competition with Tesla.
And in order to show everyone who wants to set the tone in the field of electromobility in the future, the British have had their new electric SUV compete against two Tesla models. In the run-up to the Formula E race in Mexico City, the I-Pace competed against both the Tesla Model X 75 D and the Tesla 100 D at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

The task: accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h and braking to a standstill. It goes without saying that the Jaguar I-Pace won this duel. If this encounter had turned out differently, the British would not have published the video for the world premiere and full-bodied proclaimed that the I-Pace was at the forefront of the electric drive revolution”.
I-Pace is manufactured by Magna
With such a coup against the US electric car maker, a premiere like the one in Graz - where the I-Pace is manufactured by Magna Steyr - can of course be celebrated particularly well. The performance data of the I-Pace can then also be seen.
The 90 kWh lithium-ion batteries should provide an electrical range of up to 480 kilometers, measured according to the WLTP cycle. Incidentally, Jaguar grants an eight-year warranty on the battery. The electric motors developed by Jaguar in-house have been integrated into the front and rear axles by the developers. "The electric drive of the I-PACE * gave us a previously unknown design freedom," said Jaguar design chief Ian Callum. The passengers in the interior feel this too. There is enough space for five adults.
In 4.8 seconds to 100 km
Thanks to the compact integration of the electric drive, the trunk of the 4.68 meter long I-Pace has a volume of 656 to 1,453 liters. By eliminating the transmission tunnel, another 10.5 liters can be stowed in the center console.
The all-wheel drive puts 400 hp on the road and ensures that the maximum torque of 696 Nm is implemented with ease. The I-Pace sprint to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds. If the batteries are empty, they can be recharged to 80 percent in 40 minutes at a quick charging station. The Jaguar can be ordered now for a price of 77,850 euros.
