Land Rover is launching its first plug-in hybrid: In the Range Rover Sport, which has been redesigned for the new model, a 297 kW / 404 PS combination of four-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motor is used, which allows up to 51 kilometers of purely electric driving. The manufacturer specifies the consumption of the all-wheel drive at 2.8 liters.
The 85 kW / 116 PS electric motor of the drive system is housed in the housing of the eight-speed automatic, the 13 kWh batteries are housed under the trunk floor. There is also a 7 kWh charger on board that replenishes the power supply at the household socket in seven and a half hours.
Range Rover Sport three hours on the wallbox
The process should take just under three hours on the wallbox. The prices for the luxury SUV with socket connection start at 87,100 euros. This makes the plug-in hybrid the most expensive variant below the V8 models with 249 kW / 330 PS (diesel), 386 kW / 525 PS or 423 kW / 575 PS, which are available for 93,900 euros, 97,400 euros and 132,200 euros in the price list.
In addition, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel and a gasoline engine of the same size as well as two V6 diesels and a V6 supercharged gasoline engine are available. The engines cover a power range from 177 kW / 240 PS to 250 kW / 340 PS. The conventional hybrid offered previously is no longer available. The price list starts at 64,000 euros. (SP-X)
