The compact SUV Opel Crossland X is popular with customers. One year after the market launch, 100,000 units were delivered to customers across Europe.

A quarter of the sales were in Germany, as the carmaker announced on Tuesday at the company headquarters in Rüsselsheim. The Crossland X is a joint product of the cooperation with the French PSA group that has existed since 2012. The sister model of the Citroen C3 Aircross is produced in the plant in Sarragossa, Spain.

For the car manufacturer, the compact SUV is extremely important as part of the product offensive. Opel Sales Director Peter Küspert even speaks of a key role. "Together with its X-brothers Mokka X and Grandland X, it will be available for the first time for the entire year in 2018 and will make a decisive contribution to further growth."

Opel Crossland X with a large number of assistance systems

Like all new Opel models, the compact SUV is also equipped with a large number of state-of-the-art driver assistance systems: These include drowsiness detection, a lane departure warning system, a front collision warning system with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, a blind spot warning system and high-tech full LED Headlights. The range of engines ranges from 1.2 to 1.6 liters with a power range from 75 HP to 130 HP. This can be combined with a manual five- and six-speed gearbox and a six-speed automatic transmission. The entry-level price for the Crossland X starts at 16,990 euros.
