The Nissan GT-R will be manufactured for Europe one year after the start of sales in Japan. Over 2500 orders have already been placed. In terms of price, however, Nissan has risen sharply.
Nissan has started production of the GT-R according to European specifications at its Tochigi plant. One year after sales began on the home market, the super sports car received further optimizations that were specially designed for European needs. A total of 2500 orders have already been placed, and the super sports car will be delivered from April 2009.
Five more horsepower than in Japan
The 3.8-liter bi-turbo engine is powered with five more horsepower. The six-cylinder thus has 485 hp, the maximum torque of 588 Nm remains the same. The GT-R is delivered as standard in Europe on Dunlop SP Sport 600 DSST tires, which were specially developed for the Nissan. The GT-R lapped the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 7.29 minutes.
In addition to the five extra horsepower, the sports car can also be ordered with black rims for the Black Edition and completely in white. The entry into the sporty Nissan world begins after a price adjustment at 81,800 euros. In April, Nissan had specified the base price at 74,900 euros, the Black Edition started at 78,390 euros. (AG)
