The funding program for the purchase of electric vehicles has started. Thanks to the 4,000 euros of financial support, the Nissan e-NV200 can not only be worthwhile for traders.
By Thomas Flehmer, the sighthound race announced by the Federal Minister of Finance for the subsidy for the purchase of electric cars has started. A total of 266 applications had been received by the responsible Federal Office for Economics and Export Control (Bafa) by noon on Monday.
It is not known how many Nissan e-NV200s were included. The fact is, however, that thanks to the 4,000 euros subsidy, the electric packhorse, which can also be used as a passenger transporter in the combi version, is now not only interesting for tradespeople, but could also be worthwhile for private individuals with a large household, even if at least 26,289 euros for the five-seater or 27,030 euros for the seven-seater aren't a sticky stick.
Have fun with electric driving
In addition, there is at least 90 euros for the monthly rent of the 24 kWh battery, on which Nissan gives a five-year guarantee. If you buy the battery at the same time, around another 6000 euros have to be invested. Despite the subsidy, driving an electric car requires a large portion of environmental awareness, because there are still many hurdles for the e-NV200 and Co.
No hurdles, but a lot of joy is the journey in the 4.56 meter short transporter, which dashes away quite agile in urban traffic. 254 Newton meters are available for a rapid traffic light start right from the start, bringing the 80 kW / 109 hp to 50 km / h in 3.7 seconds. Up to a speed of 100 a smooth 14 seconds pass, the top speed is reached at 123 kilometers per hour - enough for the city in which the e-NV200 made in Barcelona will spend most of its time.
Around 170 kilometers range with the Nissan e-NV200

Because the range is limited to 170 kilometers, in reality it will be around 40 kilometers less - depending on which electrical consumers the driver and front passenger have switched on in the interior, which is almost identical to the internal combustion engine. However, the counter goes down quite slowly if you anticipate the city traffic. And as an electric car driver you are always on the move with foresight, because the extremely quiet propulsion determines the driving style, even if it is always fun to quickly depress the right pedal in between.
If you also engage mode “B” such as brake in the city, recuperation is promoted. According to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), there is then a savings potential of up to 30 percentinside. In return, the acceleration is then less supported - for free.
Reduced follow-up costs for the Nissan e-NV200

Before the range is used up, a charging point should be approached. The Nissan driver can top up for free at the Nissan dealer. Depending on the charging station, the process takes between 30 minutes and 13 hours - another aspect that electric car drivers have to take into account.
The drive, which was adopted from the second generation of the Nissan Leaf, has a positive effect on follow-up costs or visits to the workshop. Due to the lack of components such as gears, clutches or toothed and V-belts, the workshop has to be visited less often. Nissan expects an average of 127 euros per year for the workshop.
The electricity costs are also limited at 32 euros per month. Thus, a purchase price is offset by lower follow-up costs. However, the difference between petrol or diesel and electric vehicles will not be fully amortized yet - probably one of the reasons why the greyhound race started very discreetly.
