The American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is expanding its range. Now the Bronx is coming, a new muscle bike.

The Americans are using it to further diversify their portfolio. After pedelecs and the Livewire e-motorcycle were recently presented, the new additions also include the Pan Amercia travel enduro, which is powered by the new Revolution Max motor. This completely new Harley unit will also be used in the recently introduced Bronx muscle bike

The Bronx is optically taking a whole new direction for Harley. The Americans locate their undisguised model in the streetfighter segment, but despite a muscular appearance it lacks the necessary aggressive touch.

The performance of the liquid-cooled V2 also remains at a moderate level. Unlike the Pan America with a displacement of 1250 cubic centimeters, the Bronx uses a smaller version with a displacement of 975 cubic centimeters. There is no final performance data yet, but more than 115 hp and 95 Newton meters should be available.

The Bronx's cockpit consists of a display that is housed in a classic round instrument housing. Presumably it will display a menu structure that hides a larger range of functions. At least this is what the corresponding control buttons on the steering wheel suggest. This should also enable smartphone content such as navigation to be integrated into the display. In addition, a glance at the handlebars reveals functions such as cruise control and heated grips. The Bronx will also have some electronic control and assistance systems.

Details of the chassis were not mentioned, but the pictures at the front show an upside-down fork and a Brembo brake system with radially mounted brake calipers as well as a two-arm swing arm with a central spring strut at the rear. Harley is still holding back with details for the time being, which is also due to the date for the market launch, because this is not expected in Europe until the end of 2020. (SP-X)
