First came the Toyota GR Supra, now the Japanese are adding the GR Supra GT4 Concept. The racing version will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show.
The concept vehicle developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing is eight centimeters longer than the production vehicle with a length of 4.46 meters. A special front diffuser and a large rear wing are designed to reduce air resistance and increase downforce and thus improve driving dynamics.

For the concept vehicle shown at the Geneva Motor Show from Tuesday, the McPherson struts at the front and the multi-link rear axle have been supplemented with springs, shock absorbers and stabilizers suitable for racing.
In-line six-cylinder in the GR Supra GT4
The racing version does not lack Brembo brakes, a roll cage, fire extinguisher or a fuel tank suitable for motorsport. The combination of a short wheelbase and a wide track should ensure excellent stability and agility. For propulsion, the Japanese carmaker is using the upgraded 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder with twin-scroll turbocharger from the production version.
There the unit develops 340 hp. However, Toyota does not yet want to reveal how much more power the racing version has. The manufacturer reserves the right to do this for its press conference. The Japanese have private drivers and teams as their target group. Whether the study will be carried out should therefore depend primarily on the interest of these potential customers. (SP-X)
